Once you are playing three evenings a week, the body needs something other than more padel. That is what makes it a wellness question as much as a wellness answer: once you are playing three evenings a week, the body needs something other than more padel. Pad Thai Padel was built with that in mind, and its Instagram bio says so in three words: Academy, Wellness, Community.
This guide looks at how wellness actually works at the club: the on-court Lagree session with Carve House, the breathwork and recovery session that followed, the ice baths and recovery space at Rama 4, the wellness space in Bali, and how to combine training and recovery in a normal week.
Thailand's first on-court Lagree session
On 5 March 2026 the club announced a first: "Lagree meets Padel. At Pad Thai Padel, we hosted Thailand's first on-court Lagree session in collaboration with Carve House, followed by a breath-work and recovery session." The format put a Lagree class on the padel court itself, then moved straight into breathing and recovery work rather than into another match.
Carve House is a Lagree studio group with several locations in Thailand, offering small group classes and private one-to-one sessions. The studio describes the Lagree Method as high-intensity, low-impact, full-body group fitness, "specifically engineered to strengthen, tighten, and tone the muscles effectively and efficiently without adding any excessive stress on the joints, connective tissues and the spine."
Why Lagree suits padel players
Padel loads the same joints repeatedly: knees in the low volley stance, shoulders on every overhead, the lower back on every rotation. A strength method that is designed to work the whole body without adding impact is a sensible partner for a sport that already supplies plenty of impact on its own.
- Full-body strength without pounding. Lagree builds the trunk, glutes and legs that hold a stable stance at the net, without the jumping and landing of a typical conditioning class.
- Control under fatigue. Slow, controlled movement teaches the body to stay organised when tired, which is exactly when padel points get sloppy.
- Time efficiency. A single session covers what a padel player would otherwise need several gym visits to address.
For academy players, this sits naturally alongside the physical conditioning included in the Performance plan and the Pro pack, which the academy runs with Ballrs.
Breathwork after the burn
The Lagree session was followed by a breathwork and recovery session, and the order was deliberate. After hard work the nervous system stays switched on, and a guided breathing session is the fastest way to bring it back down. Slower exhalations, longer holds and a few minutes of stillness leave you calmer than when you arrived, which is not something most people say after a workout.
The same principle runs through the club's outdoor yoga classes, including the on-court yoga sessions with Alo covered elsewhere in the guides. Movement first, then breath, then the rest of the evening.
Ice baths and the recovery space at Rama 4
Pad Thai Padel Rama 4 has ice baths and a dedicated recovery space alongside its three courts. Cold immersion after a long Americano is the part players talk about most, but the recovery space is what the academy leans on day to day.
Recovery space access is built into the academy plans. The Essential plan (THB 4,500 per month) includes four group sessions and recovery space access four times a month. The Growth plan (THB 9,500) and the Performance plan (THB 14,500) both include unlimited recovery space access, along with individual lessons, video analysis and tournament support. The Starter Pack (THB 12,500) and Pro Pack (THB 32,000) include unlimited access for the three months the pack is valid. Full details are on the academy page.
Wellness in Bali
The idea travelled with the brand to Pad Thai Padel Canggu, which opened in Pererenan in August 2026 with five indoor courts. Alongside the café and bar and the spectator terrace over the courts, the club has a dedicated space called Pad Thai Padel Wellness. The Instagram announcement described the club as "a place for movement, connection and community", and the wellness space is where that promise is kept.
In Bali, wellness access is part of every academy lesson: a one-hour or 90-minute session with the coaches includes the court, balls, racket, water refills and access to the wellness space. Lessons are booked through the Coaching section of The Padel Society app or at reception.
How to combine training and recovery
A sensible week at either club is not complicated. Pair each hard session with a soft one and let the club's calendar do the planning.
- Train. A group session or individual lesson with the academy, where technique, tactics, mindset and match play are covered in that order.
- Play. An Americano, Mexicano or King of the Court from the events page, which is the fastest way to find partners at your level.
- Recover. Yoga on court, a cold plunge, or time in the recovery space before the next match day.
Sessions like the Lagree collaboration are announced on Instagram and listed on the events page when they are open to sign-ups. Evenings are the busiest time on court, so a morning recovery slot is often the easiest to protect.
The Carve House session was a first for Thailand, but it fits a pattern the club has followed since it opened: the court is a place for every kind of movement, and recovery is treated as part of training rather than an afterthought. Keep an eye on the events page for the next session, and build the soft days into your week as deliberately as the hard ones.
