Padel lessons in Bangkok: how to choose a coach and a plan

Padel lessons in Bangkok: group or individual, monthly plans and credit packs with THB prices, the level scale and the coaches at Pad Thai Padel Academy.

Updated 2 September 2026

Padel is easy to start and hard to play well, which is why lessons pay off faster in this sport than in most. A few sessions with a coach fix the habits that cost points and get you into games at the right level sooner. The question is not whether to take lessons in Bangkok, but which kind, with whom, and on what plan.

This guide explains how Pad Thai Padel Academy at Rama 4 is organised so you can pick a plan that fits how often you play. It covers group versus individual coaching, plans and prices, video analysis, the level scale and the coaches. The full list is on the Bangkok academy page.

Group or individual?

Group sessions at the academy run for 90 minutes and put you on court with players of a similar level. They are the better choice for most people, because padel is a doubles game and the tactical side is learned with other people on court. Groups are also where you meet the players you will later book courts with.

Individual lessons are for technical work: a serve that keeps landing short, a bandeja that will not come together, a return off the back glass. An hour one-to-one moves a specific shot faster than a month of groups. The plans below mix the two on purpose.

Know your level first

Every plan and event is organised by level, so knowing yours is the first step. The Padel Society scale runs from Iron at 1.0 to 1.79, through Bronze at 1.8 to 2.49 and Silver at 2.5 to 3.49, to Gold at 3.5 to 4.49. The Bangkok lead form uses plainer labels: Beginner 1.0 to 1.7, High Beginner 1.8 to 2.4, Low Intermediate 2.5 to 2.9, Intermediate 3.0 to 3.5 and Advanced 3.5 and above.

If you have never been rated, the club runs Certified Level Assessment sessions, and your rating then updates as you play matches through the app. Complete beginners can start with a First Time Padel session, which is listed on the events page.

Monthly plans: Essential, Growth and Performance

The monthly plans are built for people who want a routine. All prices are in Thai baht.

  • Essential, 4,500 a month: four group sessions of 90 minutes, plus use of the recovery space four times a month.
  • Growth, 9,500 a month: four group sessions, two individual lessons, two video analyses, unlimited recovery space and tournament support.
  • Performance, 14,500 a month: four group sessions, three individual lessons, one physical conditioning session with Ballrs, two video analyses, unlimited recovery space and tournament support.

Essential suits a weekly player who wants structure, Growth suits a player who has plateaued and needs individual attention, and Performance is for those preparing for the Championship or tournaments.

Credit packs and à la carte sessions

If your schedule is irregular, the credit packs are the better fit. Both are valid for three months and include unlimited use of the recovery space during that period.

  • Starter Pack, 12,500: eight group sessions and two individual lessons.
  • Pro Pack, 32,000: twelve group sessions, six individual lessons, two conditioning sessions and four video analyses.

Everything is also available on its own: an extra group class is 1,200 a session, an individual lesson 2,000, physical conditioning 2,000, and the ball machine is 1,300 an hour with the court fee included.

Video analysis, conditioning and recovery

The academy's tagline is technique, tactics, mindset and match play, and the extras exist to cover the parts a group lesson cannot. Video analysis, included in the Growth and Performance plans and in the Pro Pack, shows you what your coach sees, and most players find one session of footage more persuasive than any amount of being told.

Physical conditioning with Ballrs is aimed at the movement side of padel. The recovery space, with the club's ice baths nearby, makes training several times a week sustainable.

The coaches at Rama 4

Jose Mouliaa is the head coach. He is a former professional who reached number 69 on Premier Padel and number 76 on the World Padel Tour, with three P1000 titles. Eli Estrada is an APPT Grand Slam winner and a professional on the women's circuit. Carlota Estrada joins the team in September 2026, with two titles won in Thailand this year and a career built on the international circuit; her first sessions are on Thursday 3 September. Adrian Ronco is the academy's pro player on the Premier Padel circuit and a FIP champion in Astorga, Spain, this year.

The club's Local Talent Program also trains local players to become Pad Thai Padel coaches. Choosing a coach is mostly a question of what you need: a former tour player for tactics and match play, and a technical eye for rebuilding a shot.

What a first session looks like

Book through The Padel Society app under Coaching, through the web checkout at book.getsetpoint.io, or by asking at the club. Rackets and balls are provided, so you only need non-marking court shoes and water.

A first session starts with a warm-up and a short rally so the coach can see how you move and where you are on the level scale. From there the work is specific: for a beginner, grip, the basic volley and the rules of the glass; for an intermediate player, whatever is losing you points. You finish with match play, and the coach will suggest a plan and an event level to join next.

The right padel lessons in Bangkok are the ones you will keep turning up to, so pick the plan that matches your week rather than your ambition. Start with a level assessment, try a group, and add individual lessons when a specific shot needs fixing. If you are joining us at Rama 4, or later at Cloud 11, the coaches will take it from there.
