Inside Pad Thai Padel Canggu: Bali's five-court indoor club

A tour of Pad Thai Padel Canggu in Pererenan: five indoor courts, opening hours, the café, wellness space and terrace, how to book, and the coaches.

Updated 2 September 2026

Pad Thai Padel Canggu is the newest club in the Pad Thai Padel family and the first outside Thailand. It sits on Jl. Dalem Wr. in Pererenan, on the quieter side of Canggu, and brings five indoor courts, a café and bar, a wellness space and a spectator terrace together under one roof.

This guide is a walk through the club: how it arrived in Bali, what you find when you step inside, when the doors are open, how to book a court, and who coaches there. It is written for visitors and residents planning a first session, and for regulars who want to know what else the building offers between matches.

From announcement to soft opening

The club announced itself early in 2026 with a short message on Instagram: "A new chapter begins in Pererenan. June 2026." A follow-up post described "a place for movement, connection and community" and moved the arrival to July. Building a five-court indoor venue takes time, and the team chose to open when the space was ready rather than when the calendar said so.

On 31 July 2026 the club confirmed that Pad Thai Padel had "officially landed on the island" and invited players to a soft opening from 1 to 10 August 2026, with exclusive court prices available through The Padel Society app. Since then the events feed has filled up week by week, and the club now runs on its full daily schedule.

Five indoor courts, open from early until late

All five courts are indoors, which matters in Bali. Rain arrives without much notice for a good part of the year, and the midday sun can make an open court hard work. Under a roof, a booking at 14:00 feels the same as a booking at 20:00, and early reviewers on Google have singled out the cooling and air circulation as the thing they noticed first.

The courts are open from 07:00 to 23:00 every day. That leaves room for a session before work, a quiet lunchtime hit, or a match under the lights after dinner. Padel is played in doubles, four players to a court, and sessions are typically 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Evenings are the busiest window, so book ahead if you want a prime-time slot.

The café, the wellness space and the terrace

The club is designed for staying, not just playing. A café and bar serves food and drinks through the day, and early reviewers have singled out the food, the air conditioning and the English-speaking staff. There is co-working style seating for people who want to answer a few emails between sessions, which suits the Canggu crowd of remote workers and long-stay travellers.

The wellness area, called Pad Thai Padel Wellness, gives players somewhere to recover after a match, and academy lessons include access to it. Above the courts, a spectator terrace lets friends watch a game with a drink in hand, and it is the natural place to gather during Americanos and tournament nights.

What players are saying

At the time of writing the club holds a 5.0 rating on Google from its first reviews. The same themes come up again and again: the courts are new and well finished, the building stays cool, the staff speak good English and look after you from the moment you arrive, and the food is better than people expect from a sports venue.

Several reviewers visited during the soft opening and wrote that they would be coming back. For a club that has been open for a matter of weeks, that early word of mouth is the clearest sign of how the place is being run.

How to book a court

There are two ways to reserve a court. The first is The Padel Society app, available for iPhone and Android, which lets you book courts and coaching, join events and track your level in one place. The second is the web checkout at book.getsetpoint.io/checkout/pad-thai-padel-bali, which is useful if you have not installed the app yet.

Rackets and balls can be rented or provided at the club, so you only need to bring non-marking court shoes and something comfortable to play in. If you arrive without a group, the events calendar and the open matches page are the quickest ways to find three other players at your level. For group visits or questions about bookings, call or message the club on +62 821 3856 448.

The coaches

The Pad Thai Padel Academy in Bali is led by head coach Zeus Sanchez, a professional circuit coach, alongside academy pro player Miguel Gonzalez, who reached number 84 on Premier Padel in 2024 and a career-high number 25 on A1 Padel in 2026.

Lessons start at IDR 1,700,000 an hour for one or two players; every price and package is on the Bali academy page, and the level bands are explained in our levels guide.

Academy groups follow this scale from The Padel Society, so you train with people who play at a similar pace.

Pad Thai Padel Canggu is a young club with a clear idea of what it wants to be: five good indoor courts, a place to eat and recover, and a community that grows one Americano at a time. If you are in Bali, book a court, join an event from the calendar, and come and see it for yourself. For more reading on padel in Bali and Bangkok, browse the rest of our guides.
